Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 14, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Literris. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Literris platform, website, and associated services (collectively, the "Service"). By registering for an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Literris Ltd ("we," "us," or "our") is a company registered in England and Wales.
2. Your Content and Copyright
You retain 100% ownership and copyright of your work. We claim no intellectual property rights over the manuscripts, characters, plot lines, mind maps, or any other materials you create, upload, or store within Literris. We only require the technical licenses necessary to host, store, and display your data within your private account.
3. Account Registration and Security
You must provide accurate information when registering for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and account. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
Literris offers both Free and Premium (PRO) tiers. For paid tiers, you will be billed in advance on a recurring, periodic basis (monthly or annually). Payments are processed securely via our third-party payment processor, Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account portal; your access will continue until the end of your current billing cycle. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not transmit any worms, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature. Violation of any of these agreements will result in the immediate termination of your account.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Literris Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service. We strongly recommend routinely exporting and backing up your manuscripts.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users of the Service, us, or third parties.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
