The Origin

I am a writer based in Hull, and after publishing my first book in January 2026, I encountered a frustration familiar to many authors. My physical desk was completely buried under a mountain of Post-it notes and half-filled notebooks.

I had brilliant ideas scattered everywhere, but no cohesive way to organise them. I desperately wanted a software platform that mirrored how I actually work—visually.

The Basket

Instead of constantly switching between a disjointed patchwork of different applications, I needed a single, unified space to plan, develop, and immerse myself entirely in the journey of a story. I built Literris to be exactly that: a 'virtual basket' for everything related to a book.

As a theology nerd who often writes with a Christian perspective—whilst harbouring a deep love for reading sci-fi and political thrillers—I know firsthand how complex thematic plotting and world-building can become. Literris is purpose-built for people who have a spark of an idea they need to explore deeply before they even think about typing 'Chapter One'. If your workspace is currently covered in disorganised notes, this platform was designed precisely for you.
